Postseismic response of repeating earthquakes around the 2011 Tohoku-oki earthquake
Uchida, N., K. Shimamura, T. Matsuzawa, and T. Okada, Postseismic response of repeating earthquakes around the 2011 Tohoku-oki earthquake: Moment increases due to the fast loading rate, J. Geophys. Res., 120(1), 259-274, doi:10.1002/2013JB010933, 2015.
  • Postseismic responses of repeaters are examined for the 2011 Tohoku-oki earthquake.
  • A fast loading due to postseismic slip caused increased moment and slip areas.
  • The phenomenon suggests aseismic-to-seismic transitions in the surrounding area of the pre-Tohoku-oki rupture area.
